What Makes Radiesse® Unique And Why Do I Use Radiesse®?
When Radiesse® was first introduced to the US in 2006, it quickly became known as the “injectable implant. “ This is because unlike hyaluronic acid fillers, which are a carbohydrate, Radiesse® is made from calcium like our bones. Like an implant, it can be placed along the jawline (the mandible), on the cheekbone (the zygomatic arch) to add definition, or in the chin to produce a more pleasing projection.
Another Radiesse® advantage is volume. One syringe of Radiesse® is 1.5 cc of product whereas Restylane Lyft and Voluma are only 1 cc per syringe. Radiesse® can be placed in the temporal and cheek fat pads to restore volume loss as part of aging.
Radiesse® is the only filler that also stimulates collagen. You get the instant volume enhancement, but then between 1 and 3 months after injection collagen is also produced. When Radiesse® is placed just under the skin in the upper arms, décolleté, and upper legs, skin texture is improved.
In summary, Radiesse® offers more volume for the money and is the only filler that stimulates collagen!
